The mission of the Champlain Center is to work collaboratively with people to help them overcome their struggles and live full productive lives.

We offer up-to-date, cutting edge psychological services for individuals in Vermont. Our Clinicians specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In addition, we treat body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding disorder, hair pulling, skin picking disorders, and Tourette’s and tic disorders.

Our clinicians have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which has repeatedly been shown to be the most effective treatment for all of the disorders we treat. CBT is a solution-focused approach to therapy that uses a variety of strategies and techniques to address the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Types of services include an initial comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, group therapy and home and/or out-of-office sessions. In addition, the Champlain Center offers accelerated and intensive treatments.

A central goal of The Champlain Center is to increase awareness about and getting access to highly effective care for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. While some mental health conditions respond to a general psychotherapy approach, the disorders we treat require specialized treatment approaches. In particular, we help clients focus on changing the way they respond to their worries, anxieties, and fears in a way that promotes long term gains.
